Annual Scientific Congress
The Society’s main scientific meeting, with plenaries, abstract presentations, pre-congress workshops and interdisciplinary discussion on women’s health in Kenya.
Annual scientific congress, national meetings and safe motherhood walks
The Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society holds periodic meetings of its members and of the medical profession generally for scientific and social purposes. Our key activities include an annual scientific conference, national and regional conferences, and safe motherhood walks.
The Annual Scientific Congress is KOGS’s flagship gathering. The 50th Congress, in 2026, marked fifty years of advancing reproductive health through scientific research, clinical excellence and advocacy. Delegates take part in scientific sessions, research presentations, skills-building workshops and conversations on contemporary challenges in obstetrics and gynaecology.

KOGS organises national and regional conferences so obstetricians, gynaecologists and partners can share practice beyond the annual congress.
Safe motherhood walks bring professionals and communities together around maternal health, one of the Society’s long-standing public activities.
Between congresses, members meet through continuing medical education sessions and webinars listed on this site.
