JOGECA is the official journal of KOGS. It disseminates current academic and research findings in obstetrics and gynaecology across Eastern and Central Africa.
Sexual and reproductive health research, published for practice and policy
KOGS conducts and promotes research on sexual and reproductive health and publishes the findings so members, trainees and partners can use evidence in clinical practice and advocacy.
The Society’s official journal, the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Eastern and Central Africa (JOGECA), publishes original, peer-reviewed research and reviews in obstetrics and gynaecology. Its scope includes fetomaternal medicine, family planning and contraception, gynaecological oncology, fertility and endocrinology, adolescent health, health policy and related science.
Research and Development is one of KOGS’s strategic pillars. Evidence generated by members also informs Society projects and advocacy on maternal and reproductive health.

The Annual Scientific Congress is a forum for presenting research, debating methods and translating findings into better care for women and newborns.
KOGS uses research and clinical evidence in its projects and in advocacy for sexual and reproductive health and rights, including work with partners such as FIGO.
